Some say it might be the ISP but I have another computer connected through an ethernet connection - no problem there when my wireless connection drops. I have to restart my router at least three times a day.and sometimes I have to restart it 5 consecutive times just to get it going again. Do not waste your money - Netgear has nice packaging but a terrible product. Netgear skimps on technology and quality and spends more on product appearance.
Whatever. After that period I have no choice but to pay if I want them to help me. Changed my D-link for this Netgear.Bad move.I lost my internet for 2 days, No way around to get it back. Called Customer services to found out that I could only use them free of charge in the first 3 month.
I would always recomment Netgear routers to anyone. I have a Netgear router myself, and it was just a no brainer to buy tis as a christmas gift. It came quick, worked perfectly, and who could ask for more.
The Lost Connection happened before & after adding the phone service. We recently added cabel phone service. We have had this for over 2 years & I just can't take it anymore - We lose connection DAILY. We are continually updating the software, but to no avail.Netgear blames the issues on Windows updates, but no matter what we do the connections are always lost.I am finally throwing it away & going with a non-Netgear product.FYI - We use Comcast cable.
This product did not work with my ISP (Indianhead Telephone Company)I am sure it's more the telephone company's fault, but irritating never the less.
